The Gulf Coast stretches from the Florida Panhandle through Alabama, Mississippi, and into Louisiana. I've filmed weddings across this entire region, and I've seen some incredible venues.
Here are my favorites for 2026, broken down by area.
Alabama Gulf Coast

The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa - Point Clear
This place has been hosting weddings for over 175 years. The waterfront ceremony sites and Spanish moss-draped grounds create incredible content. The sunset views over Mobile Bay are some of the best I've captured.
Flora-Bama - Orange Beach
For couples who want a laid-back beach vibe, Flora-Bama is perfect. Beachfront ceremonies with the Gulf as your backdrop. It's casual, fun, and the sunsets create amazing lighting.
The Venue at Fairhope - Fairhope
A restored warehouse space with exposed brick, original wood beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows. This has become one of the most sought-after venues in the Fairhope area. Great for both ceremony and reception.
Florida Panhandle
Henderson Park Inn - Destin
This beachfront boutique inn offers intimate ceremonies right on the sand. The property has a no-kids-under-25 policy, making it popular for smaller, adult-only celebrations. Great choice for an elopement or micro wedding.
Palafox Wharf Waterfront - Pensacola
Located on Pensacola Bay, this venue combines industrial charm with waterfront views. The rooftop ceremony space offers panoramic views of downtown and the water. Some of my favorite drone footage has come from here.

Bud & Alley's - Seaside
In the picture-perfect town of Seaside (where they filmed "The Truman Show"), this restaurant venue offers rooftop ceremonies overlooking the Gulf. The coastal architecture and white-sand beach create a classic Florida wedding backdrop.
Mississippi Gulf Coast

Hotel & Spa at Old Harbour Cove - Biloxi
Waterfront property with both indoor and outdoor ceremony options. The grounds are well-maintained and photograph beautifully at any time of day. Good backup options if weather is a concern.
The Gin at Flora Station - Bay St. Louis
A restored cotton gin turned event space. High ceilings, brick walls, industrial character with Southern charm. This venue has a lot of visual interest for content. Lots of textures and details to capture.
Louisiana

Race & Religious - New Orleans
Three 1830s Creole cottages connected by courtyards. This venue has character you can't replicate anywhere else. Brick, iron, lush greenery. Classic New Orleans.
"We wanted our wedding to feel like New Orleans. Race & Religious delivered that and then some." - Jessica, bride from Houston
The Elms Mansion - New Orleans
An 1869 mansion in the Garden District. Original chandeliers, marble fireplaces, manicured grounds. This is Old South elegance at its finest. Perfect for couples who want a formal, traditional feel.
White Oak Plantation - Baton Rouge
Five thousand acres of Louisiana landscape. Moss-draped oaks and historic buildings provide countless opportunities for photos and video. Great for couples who want an outdoor, plantation-style wedding.
Tips for Choosing Your Gulf Coast Venue
| Factor | What to Consider |
|---|---|
| Season | Spring and fall have the best weather. Avoid July-August if possible. |
| Backup plan | Afternoon storms are common. Make sure there's an indoor option. |
| Guest count | Beach venues often have smaller capacities due to permits. |
| Lighting | Visit at your ceremony time to see the actual conditions. |
| Vendors | Ask if the venue has a preferred vendor list or restrictions. |
The Gulf Coast offers something for every style. Beach ceremonies. Ballroom receptions. Historic mansions. Industrial spaces. Whatever your vision, there's a venue here that fits.
